Three days to think differently about logistics

From April 27 to 30, Perform’Air and New Direx (New York), subsidiaries of the LVO Group, took part in the Freight Club’s annual conference, held this year in Cannes-Mandelieu. A great opportunity to meet up with network members in a setting conducive to exchange, reflection… and conviviality.

Freight Club is an independent network created in 1998 by and for SMEs in the international transport sector. The idea is simple: one member per country (except for major markets such as the United States, China and India), and one watchword: trust above all.
Its slogan perfectly sums up this state of mind: “Let’s be friends; friendship builds trust and trust builds business.”

Perform’Air was one of the founding members, and has continued to play a very active role for over 25 years.

LVO Group’s dynamic involvement

This year, LVO Group’s two participating subsidiaries were represented by:

• Perform’Air, with Elias Romanos and Jonas Bodeux
• New Direx (New York), with John Sampson, former president of the Freight Club.

They were accompanied by Jean-Jacques Gouelle, former CEO of Perform’Air, now a consultant for LVO Group and President of the Freight Club, which he helped found.

A network that goes beyond business

For three days, discussions focused on the sector’s major challenges: logistics coordination, new customer expectations, regulatory changes, digital tools…

But as always the informal moments are always of utmost consideration : those in which ideas are freely and spontaneously shared, and bonds are created, strengthened and cherished. This type of event reminds us of a simple fact: we can talk strategy, figures and processes, but at the end of the day, human relationships are key to ongoing progress and improvement. They are undoubtedly conducive to creating and maintaining a solid network !
